Net Asset Value(NAV)
Net asset value (NAV) in private real estate investing is the total value of an asset minus any outstanding debt and the cost of any other planned or fixed capital expenditure or liabilities.
Therefore, NAV= Total assets-total liabilities
NAV demonstrates an asset’s performance and its ability to generate value and returns for its investors over time. For example, a higher NAV implies an increase in the cash distributions to its investors from the asset.
