Private real estate investing

Private real estate investing means developing or investing in real estate in private markets rather than investing through public vehicles such as Real Estate Investment Trusts (REITS).

Private real estate investments are illiquid and depend on the manager skills and several microeconomic factors. Therefore Private Real Estate investing offers returns that are less correlated with public markets.

Private real estate investing is an alternative asset class that is suitable for accredited investors and high net worth individuals and institutions such as endowments and pension funds. However, with the emergence of several real estate crowdfunding platforms, individual investors can access private real estate offerings with much lower minimums.

Investing in venture capital funds is inherently risky and illiquid. It involves a high degree of risk and is suitable only for sophisticated and qualified investors.
