Sales Comps

Sales comps (or ‘Comparables’) are used in real estate for evaluating the fair value of an asset by using the valuations of an asset that has been sold recently within the last year. Real estate agents accurately appraise an asset by comparing it with the price of a most recently sold property within a one-mile radius that has similar characteristics like square footage, number of bedrooms and bathrooms etc.

Sales comps help in determining the projected sale price.
